Shuten takes its name from Shuten Douji, an ancient Japanese demon, and brings traditional ramen preparation to Narvarte with broths made from scratch using fermented ingredients. The menu includes several ramen styles plus gyoza (the ebi version stands out), takoyaki, and a range of sake to drink alongside.

The kitchen prepares everything to order, so expect a wait — but the noodles have real texture and the broths are layered with flavor. They also make their own spicy Japanese chili oil. The space is small, and there's no bathroom, but the food is the reason to come. Order the gyozas while you wait for your bowl.
