Chef Lucho Martínez's first project, Em — named for his daughter Emilia — earned a Michelin star and a spot on Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2024, cementing its place among Mexico City's finest. The tasting menu (8 courses) runs through contemporary Mexican cuisine with serious technical skill: goat cheese ravioli with caviar, crab chilpachole with a fried buñuelo, corn truffle (huitlacoche) with elote, sea urchin tamal, lobster with plantain purée, and rib eye. The desserts, especially anything made with mamey, are what people remember most — the mamey tiramisu is a standout.

The dining room in Roma Norte is small and intimate, with closely spaced tables and warm service that feels closer to a dinner party than a typical fine-dining experience. The sommelier knows her list and pairs wines with precision. Reservations are essential, and the experience runs about three hours — pace yourself, the portions are more generous than usual for this format.
