This government-run cultural center occupies a historic building across from the Museo del Carmen that once served as San Ángel's town hall. The main draw is the Teatro Ignacio López Tarso, a mid-sized theater that hosts a rotating schedule of plays and performances — recent runs have included "Toc Toc" and "Puños de Amor" — with good sightlines from most seats and solid acoustics.

The venue also features exhibition spaces, though the ground floor is currently undergoing renovation. There's a small concession stand selling snacks and drinks before shows. Street parking is available nearby, and there are pay lots on Av. de La Paz and Calle de Frontera. Tickets are sold at the box office; if you buy online, you'll still need to pick up physical tickets at the window before entering the theater.
