Ryo Kan is Latin America's first ryokan — a traditional Japanese inn — tucked into Mexico City's Little Tokyo. The boutique hotel and spa draws on omotenashi-style service (Japanese hospitality) with tatami-style rooms, futon beds, and a full spa menu that includes couples massages, facials, and onsen-style soaking tubs with mineral salts.
Day spa packages bundle treatments with tea service from an extensive tea bar, light meals, and private use of the onsen tubs. The massage work is thorough and the setting is calm, making it a good reset option for locals who want to unplug without leaving the city. Book ahead for spa packages, especially on weekends.
