Tucked inside Hotel Novit near the World Trade Center, Aktuel delivers fusion cuisine on one of the best outdoor terraces in the Nápoles area — a rare find in this business-heavy zone. The kitchen puts out Iberian-inflected starters like jamón ibérico croquettes and goat cheese toasts with fig, plus duck taquitos and an occasional chef's gift like chilorio. Mains lean toward grilled proteins and risotto, and when it's the season they run a chiles en nogada special.

The terrace — complete with a water feature — is reason enough to visit, especially for breakfast or lunch when the weather cooperates. Service is attentive without hovering. Book ahead if you want the outdoor seating on weekends. Mid-range pricing.
