Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo

Designed by architect Juan O'Gorman between 1929 and 1931, this is one of the first functionalist buildings in Latin America — three houses and a photographic laboratory connected by a rooftop bridge. Rivera lived and worked here for 23 years, and his studio is preserved with his collection of pre-Hispanic artifacts, easels, and personal objects. The house also showcases O'Gorman's architectural sketches, still visible on the walls.

The cactus-filled courtyard and bold red, white, and blue color scheme reflect both the functionalist aesthetic and Mexican visual identity. A scale model near the entrance allows visitors who can't access the upper levels to see the full layout. Admission is free on Sundays.
