Mano Santa

Mano Santa has been pouring mezcal on Insurgentes Sur since around 2016, holding down a corner in Roma Norte with long communal tables and street seating facing the Cibeles fountain. The mezcal list runs deep — artisanal bottles from across Oaxaca and beyond, including a 14-herb mezcal that regulars keep coming back for — and the bar staff walk you through the options without the pretense.

The food skews Oaxacan: tlayudas, tasajo tortas, longaniza, and guacamole with grasshoppers (chapulines). Cocktails lean mezcal-forward and well-balanced, and the beer-and-mezcal promos make it an easy precopa stop. It's a small space that moves quickly, so you rarely wait long for a table. Order the guacamole with chapulines and the Buena Vista cocktail, grab a seat outside if the weather's good, and settle in.
