Lago Algo is a cultural center and restaurant on the edge of Lago Mayor in Chapultepec's Second Section, housed in a 1960s hyperbolic paraboloid building that's a piece of architectural history in its own right. The kitchen works with pasture-raised proteins, sustainably classified seafood, and pesticide-free produce, and the space doubles as a gallery with rotating exhibitions.
The restaurant runs daily from 8:30am to 7pm, and there's outdoor seating along the lake — reservations recommended if you want a table by the water. Portions lean small and prices are on the higher end, but the setting and architecture make it worth a visit at least once.
