FARO Indios Verdes is part of Mexico City's network of nine Fábricas de Artes y Oficios — cultural centers that offer free arts and crafts workshops to their communities. The building itself carries the architectural character of an older era, with a courtyard fountain and rooms that double as classrooms and exhibition spaces.
All workshops here are free, from painting and drawing to multimedia design. The center also hosts film screenings (it's a regular venue for FICUNAM, the UNAM international film festival), cultural expos, and community events. From Indios Verdes metro, take the exit at platform B and catch a bus heading toward the venue, or walk it in about 15 minutes.
Highlights
Part of the city's network of nine FARO cultural centers, free arts and crafts workshops, painting classes with quality instruction, regular film screenings and cultural events, accessible from Indios Verdes metro via bus or a short walk
