Estadio Olímpico Universitario

Built in 1952 as the first structure of Ciudad Universitaria, this 72,000-capacity stadium hosted the 1968 Summer Olympics — including opening and closing ceremonies and all track and field events — and matches during the 1986 FIFA World Cup. It's the second-largest stadium in the country after Azteca and remains the home of Pumas de la UNAM, one of Mexico's first-division soccer teams.

The seats are concrete, the sightlines are generally good from upper sections (lower sections have mesh barriers that can obstruct views), and there's no roof, so plan accordingly for weather. The Pebetero section is where the loudest fans gather. Arrive early if driving — parking fills up two hours or more before kickoff and costs around 100 pesos.
