Since 1983, when writers Carmen Boullosa and Alejandro Aura took over this Coyoacán bar, El Hijo del Cuervo has been a neighborhood fixture for rock, jazz, and live comedy. The space anchors a prime corner on Parque Centenario, with tables spilling onto the terrace — though expect vendors to make their rounds at the outdoor seats.

Draft beer and the cheese fondue are the standard orders, and the bar hosts stand-up comedy nights midweek and weekends. Service is generally attentive inside; the outdoor terrace puts you right in the middle of Coyoacán's plaza life.
