Cultural Roots

Cultural Roots is a three-floor reggae lounge on Tacuba in Centro Histórico, open 7pm to 1:30am. The main room hosts international sound system acts and live bands, while the rooftop terrace — El Diablito — draws the smoking crowd and rotates DJs weekly. Each floor has its own bar and vibe, from roots and dub downstairs to dancehall and reggae variants up top.

Liters of beer run on the affordable side, and cover charges are modest. The staff knows the scene, the crowd skews friendly, and the sound system is loud enough to move. Show up for the reggae, stay for the terrace.
