Coyoacán Cultural Forum Hugo Argüelles

This neighborhood theater opened on October 13, 1977, with the premiere of "La tarántula Art Nouveau de la calle Morelos," a play written by Hugo Argüelles — one of Mexico's most influential playwrights and the namesake of this space. The forum seats around 200 people across nine rows in a small, well-maintained hall with air conditioning and solid acoustics.

The lineup runs from contemporary theater and dance to live music tributes and community events like Day of the Dead productions. The gardens inside are a nice bonus before or after a show. No parking onsite — plan accordingly for this part of Coyoacán.
