Complejo Cultural de Los Pinos

The former presidential residence opened to the public in 2018, transforming nearly a century of restricted grounds into a sprawling cultural complex inside Chapultepec. The estate includes several historic houses — notably Casa Lázaro Cárdenas, dedicated to the president many consider Mexico's finest — plus gardens, a collection of presidential vehicles, and rotating exhibitions on Mexican history and art.

Free guided tours run Tuesday through Sunday, and the grounds host regional cultural festivals throughout the year showcasing food, music, and crafts from different Mexican states. Entry is free through gates on Parque Lira or directly from Bosque de Chapultepec. Free parking is available but fills quickly on weekends.
