This branch of Mexico City's national film archive occupies a former Cinemark multiplex in the CENART campus, giving the Cineteca a second home beyond its Xoco headquarters. The 12 screening rooms show arthouse, international, and classic films — recent listings have included everything from Almodóvar's latest to Kiki's Delivery Service and Donnie Darko — with general admission at 70 pesos (50 pesos for students, teachers, and seniors).
The building retains its commercial cinema layout, so sight lines can be awkward in the flat-floor theaters, but projection and sound are solid. Two cafés and a snack bar serve beer alongside the usual popcorn, and the prices undercut the big chains. The gardens surrounding the CENART complex are open for wandering before or after your screening, though security escorts you out if you linger too late.
