Centro Cultural El Hormiguero

Centro Cultural El Hormiguero is an independent theater in a converted house on Gabriel Mancera, home to a black box with seating close enough to see every expression. The space focuses on contemporary, participatory theater that pulls in young actors and directors pushing new ideas — recent productions have included everything from intimate dramas to experimental physical theater.

The on-site café opens at 4pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends, serving crepes, beer, and coffee that you can bring into the theater itself. The space also runs acting, singing, and aerial silks classes for kids and teens during the week.
