Casa Marie José y Octavio Paz

This colonial-era house in Tacuba, also known as "La Perulera," is where poet and essayist Octavio Paz and his wife Marie José lived. The space now functions as both a small museum and cultural center, with many of Paz's personal belongings on display — including his Nobel Prize and medals, paintings, sculptures, books, and furniture. Ongoing digitalization and restoration work means some areas remain restricted access, and visits to the museum portion require advance reservations through their Facebook page.

The cultural center side hosts book presentations, creative workshops for kids and adults, rotating expositions, and reading rooms. Security is tight at the entrance given the research and conservation work still underway inside.
