Botánico earned a spot in the Michelin Guide and delivers modern bistro fare in a house that feels more like a garden than a restaurant — cacti line the walls, plants spill from shelves, and a small pond stocked with ajolotes (axolotls) anchors the interior courtyard. Chefs Alejandra and team built the menu around whatever's fresh that day, with standouts including the caramelized onion bonbons with grana padano and balsamic, lamb pappardelle, creamy wild mushroom risotto with Chiapas cheese, and short rib sandwich. The wagyu burger and milanesa with Dijon glaze, honey-herb drizzle, and arugula are straightforward done right.

Desserts run strong: the brie cheesecake adds a salty, rich twist to the classic, and the French toast with maple ice cream and bacon is what regulars come back for. Service is friendly and knows the menu cold — they'll ask about allergies and dietary restrictions before you even see a plate. Expect to splurge a bit, but the ingredients and execution back it up. Reservations recommended, especially on weekends.
