A cabaret that's been running continuously since 1950, Barba Azul is one of the last old-school tropical dance halls in Obrera. Live salsa and cumbia bands fill the small space most nights, and burlesque performers take the stage between sets. It's an inclusive, queer-friendly spot where people come to actually dance — not pose — and the décor leans wonderfully maximalist.
Drinks are affordable, though there's no kitchen (just basic snacks). Security asks for a tip on your way out; it's part of the deal. Shows are cash only, and the floor gets packed after 11pm, so arrive early if you want a table.
