Arena Coliseo

Built in 1943 with 40,000 pesos Salvador Lutteroth won in the national lottery, Arena Coliseo is the oldest lucha libre arena in the world still in operation. The circular shape earned it the nickname "El Embudo de Perú 77" (The Funnel of Perú 77), and its intimate 5,500-person capacity puts you close to the action no matter where you sit.

CMLL runs shows here every Saturday at 7:30pm — a more compact, neighborhood alternative to the bigger Arena México. Balcony seats offer the best views, though support beams can obstruct sightlines if you're not in the first few rows. Arrive 45 minutes to an hour early to claim your spot if you're in general admission.

The surrounding area near Tepito clears out quickly after shows, so leave with the crowd and have your ride ready. Ticket resellers work the entrance if the box office sells out, though buying ahead through Ticketmaster keeps things simpler.
